For things related specifically about Sanghyang Gandrung Dance mainly seen from the cost of dancers here costumes used by dancers is very simple. It is said that the costumes are simple because they do not use the typical dance pakean that we often see, but the dancers wear the clothes that they have their own and sober. As for clothes for the female dancers (Sanghyang dancers), they wear kamen, belt wrap (bebet), angkin, rembang shawl, and headdress in the form of gold flowers. And for male dancers (Gandrung dancers) his clothes are not much different from the sanghyang dancer, which distinguishes them only in headdresses. Gandrung dancers use a headdress in the form of a rejang button ornament but added with tassels from a plastic rope.

A. Understanding Dance Sang Hyang Gandrung

Sanghyang Gandrung ceremony is a sacred dance performed once every 3 years, for 42 days, held every lunar calendar / soba karo-third, around August to September. The main purpose of holding a Sanghyang Gandrung ceremony is to repel reinforcements where spirits such as blindness are given the offerings of caru in the form of a colorful cone (panca warna) placed under a sanggah cucuk dedicated to the Blind Kala. B. The series of Sanghyang Gandrung ceremonies from the beginning are as follows:

4. Next the same ceremony as above is held in pemedal Pura Dalem (pemangkala) to offer offerings to the ruler who is in Pura Dalem aim to neutralize for spirits that are negative from the grave nature.
